Professional Experience
I am a former Maryland Certified Teacher in the field of Secondary Science and I have been a private tutor for over two decades. I taught the courses of Biology, Anatomy/Physiology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physical Science in the science field. I also have experience teaching Math courses such as Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and Trigonometry.
Educational Experience
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Towson University with a Masters in Education. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame as a Biology major and tutored undergraduate chemistry throughout my college career. I also attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and received top honors in such classes as Microbiology, Host Defenses and Infectious Diseases. I am currently employed at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and I am enrolled in a Masters in Public Health Program.
Differentiated Learning
I have had extensive experience tutoring and teaching classes from Middle School to College courses. My experience has consisted of classes of various levels (G/T, AP, Honors, Standard, Special needs). I love academia and I love working with others. I cater all of my lessons to each individual student and I strive to make each session as engaging as possible.

Awesome GeometryTutor
This tutor helped me understand theorems in Geometry that I was struggling with. She taught me several formulas which I now feel very comfortable with on tests. Her ability to explain Geometry in a way that is easy to understand has helped me get better scores. I am very grateful for her skill in teaching me Geometry. Great teacher!
Courtney really help my daughter understand some of the algebra l concepts she was struggling with in just one session. She makes it very easy to understand and is very patient. After this first session, my daughter felt super confident with the material she originally was struggling with. We will certainly be using Courtney‘s services again if needed!
Patient tutor
My son was struggling in Chemistry. She helped him with significant numbers and dimensional analysis. Courtney was wonderful, she came to our house and sat next to my son (both wearing masks) so she would see his computer screen and the work he had struggled with. She even brought practice problems for him to do. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

Courtney really helped me by breaking down lots of the vocabulary and key concepts in chemistry that you need to understand in order to complete problems. She was able to explain it in a way for me to understand that my college chem professors could not! You can clearly tell that she is very knowledgeable about the topic. Amazing!! In the short time I worked with Courtney, I have improved tremendously. By myself I got a D on my exam, and when she helped me on the next one, I got an 88. The last point I missed was something she had taught me that I had forgotten, so technically she got me to an A. I would recommend her to ANYONE having trouble in Chemistry. She is a great tutor with plenty of knowledge, and very easy to understand. She's also very easy to contact, and quite flexible as far as scheduling. 5 stars every time!
